  • Terminal is the deep-rooted and coarse hairs and can be pigmented or gray.

A hair’s growth cycle also comes in phases:

  • The first phase of this cycle is called the anagen phase and it’s the active, growing phase for a hair.
  • Catagen is the second stage and it’s a transitional stage for hair.
  • The final stage in a hair’s growth cycle is called the telogen phase. This is the stage where the hair is dormant. It stays in this stage until it is shed and is replaced by a new anagen hair.
