History of John Frieda

John Frieda’s entrance to the world of hairstyling and hair care began when he was just 16 years old. Even at such a young age, when Frieda was an assistant to a famous hair stylist in Britain named Leonard, he was able to make anyone’s hair look great and stylish in a minimal amount of time.

Thickening Lotion

As Frieda got older, he began to pursue his interest in hair and how different types of hair could react differently to the many variations of hair styling and hair cleaning products. One of the first products lines he began to market was specifically for those who had very thin hair. These products launched in stores in the late 1980s and proved to be dreams come true for people with fine hair who desperately needed some thickness added. One of the products in this line was called “Thickening Lotion.”

The Solution to Frizzy Hair

After the successful launch of hair products for people with thin hair, Frieda began working on a product line for people with frizzy hair. This product line, called “Frizz-Ease,” was another successful endeavor for Frieda. Ever since these two products became so desired by people across the world, Frieda began to focus his attention on creating other product lines specifically for people with different textures, lengths and colors of hair.

The Impact on Hair

Many have said that Frieda’s impact on the world of hair care products is unmatched by any other person or hair care manufacturer that has ever existed. Now his name is well-known across the world, and many top models and celebrities openly state that they only use John Frieda products on their hair. Frieda is constantly coming out with new product lines, and his newest is called “Radiant Red,” which debuted in 2005. This line was designed specifically for all of the red-heads of the world.

Shampoo and Conditioner

For anyone who does not feel the need for any sort of complicated hair styling products, but simply wants a good and high-quality shampoo for the correct hair type, there are several Frieda products that can meet these needs. There are shampoos and conditioners for those with curly hair, straight hair, oily hair, dry hair and color-treated hair. Each shampoo and conditioner set offers a tested formula to assist in styling and maintaining even the most difficult head of hair.

Many hair salons around the world carry John Frieda hair care products, but they are in no way limited to being sold only in exclusive stores. In fact, the local drugstore down the street from just about everybody in America probably carries some or all of Frieda’s hair care product lines. Some of the commonly known retailers which carry them are, Ulta, Walgreens, and Duane Reade. There are also several other popular and frequently-visited stores where the products can be found.
