Melissa Mayntz is a Utah-based, full-time freelance writer. She began her freelancing career in August 2003, and since then has published hundreds of articles with newspapers, newsletters, magazines, and websites, including markets such as:

About Hair

Melissa’s hair is medium brown, straight, and longer than shoulder-length. In the past, she has inflicted it with extremely short cuts, perms, and temporary dye (quite lovely copper highlights). Today, she is focusing on growing it longer, though it can be plagued with brittleness, making the task more difficult. Through the regular use of conditioners and other strengthening Hair Products, it has gradually sunk to her mid-back. The only Hair Accessories Melissa uses are ponytail holders, which serve to contain the tresses so she can clearly see the computer to continue writing articles.
