Jamie - Any style takes work to maintain, and you have to be willing to let your hair look natural if you don't want to be styling it too much. You can try a smoothing or anti-frizz serum or leave in conditioner to keep your hair smooth. As for having it curl under, you can try curling it by hand when it's still a little wet and then let it air dry naturally. Same thing with your bangs - straighten them by hand when they're a bit wet, then add a bit of mousse or spray to keep them in place.

I am growing my hair out into a mid neck bob with bangs. What kind of hairstyling products make a bob look good? I also have oily hair so I can't use a lot of styling aids that put oil in your hair. I use mousse and blow dry my hair with a round brush. But, it still doesn't look like I want it too. I want it to look smooth, and to curl under at the ends with out having to use curling irons. I also want my bangs to stay straight for most of the day.

I have that same haircut & i love it =) its really easy to maintain, i used to have long hair and it was a burden to blowdry but now like its so short i style it really fast and its always cute =P

Erin - You can have layers added to your bob to help eliminate some of your hair's volume, but keep the top layer (from the crown) the longest so it will smooth out the look and help weigh your hair down. A smoothing serum will also help keep frizz at bay so it's not adding even more volume.

Kim - You could consider a tapered cut that is about shoulder length so it will still have enough length to go into a ponytail. Also check out Medium Hair Styles for other fun ideas.

I have very long very thick semi wavy brown haair. It is such a hassle, and the bob is really in right now at my high school. My hair us really hard to manage because kit is so thick. I really wantto get an above the shoulder length bob, but I want it not to be huge after I shower. Maybe a diffuser and some type of serum? I'm very petite, so a bob would work nicely. Any suggestions?

I have brown thick (a little wavy) hair. I usally don't do any kind of style to my hair. I just pull back into a ponytail or just leave as is. what kind of haircut can i get that will look good down but can go up in a pony tail for work.

Kat - You might try an inverted bob or a fun shag hair style. Layers are easy to take care of but give hair a lot of life, and you can always check out great hair accessories to jazz up any style.

I'm black, and I just got a bob day before yesterday... and every time i cut my hair short--people love it and tell me how professional and sophicated i look.

Long hair is fun and sexy, but sometimes its time to switch the game up and try something else.

In answer to asia's question. I think black people with bobs look fabbb!!! Take rihanna or even better Keisha from the sugababes she had really long hair then cut it into a really short bob and it looks a lot lot better now n shee looks soooooo pretty. I have a bob n i really think u should get one :D:D go on be daring hope i helped u x

Inverted Bobs are best. short on the nape and longer in the front.

i wanat to permanently thin out my hair. can i laser it or maybe ahve plugs removed? i've tried everything else and i'm sick of it. if it was thin enough i could get a cut bob cut

i was lookin 4 an article describin all bobs were it originated from who did the very first bob in 1920s who made it their own in 1960 and who brought it back in to fashion in 2007 as im doing a project 4 college as im training to be a hairdresser please could u provide me with some info would be much help also i would like some more information on todays bob and what changes have been made to it also how to cut a one length bob a graduated bob ect!!! !!!!! thankunyow
