R L -- You'll want to look for products that are specially formulated for grey hair, since the hair has lost some of its natural texture and will need a different type of dye. Dyeing your hair salt and pepper will actually take a lot of work from an experienced colorist to make it look suitable, rather than streaky. Visit different salons and get consultations with their stylists to find one you feel confident with. Best wishes!

Informative article. My hair is grey, almost white and i fancy dyeing my hair salt and pepper with about 25% black. I wonder whether a suitable dye is available in India(Bangalore) where i live. If not, what should i be looking for in the USA?

Elisa, Two in one shampoos don't condition as much as using a shampoo and conditioner alone. If your hair doesn't need much conditioning or you have fine hair, it can be a time saving option -- however most professional stylists don't recommend the 2 in 1 route.
