Go to your local beauty supply store and buy this serum called 'Hair So Shine.' I use this along with their gel (same brand) and always get compiments on my hair!!!

Nicole - As you grow you hair longer, it will weigh down the crown so it won't be as curly there, but the ends will still curl. You can try some subtle layers to tame the look and keep it more uniformly curly all over. Best wishes!

When I was younger I had naturally wavy hair. Now that I am getting older in is becoming very curly. I was told by a hairstylist to let my bangs grow out. I did this and now I have no hairstyle and out of control curls. I seems like it is to heavy or has been cut wrong because it is rally flat on the top of my head. The curls seem like they are weighed down. I would like to learn how to live with this hair and what hairstyle that would work for me.

As your hair dries out during the day, it will naturally get frizzier. You may want to try a leave-in conditioner for all your hair, rather than just for the ends, or use a break during the day to run a damp comb through the top.

ok, my hair is extremely curly but also frizzy. i generally wet it in the mornings, wrap it in a towel, a few minutes later i let it down and brush it. next i aply anti friz, leave in conditioner for split ends, then i scrunch it, then on top of all that, i put spray gel on it...b4 school lets out, my hair is frizzy on the top and i haven't even done enough to mess it up! why wont my hair stay curly on the top like it does on the bottom???

Megan - You should make sure your hair is properly moisturized to minimize frizz. Use a good Conditioner and try a smoothing serum to help keep your locks under control. You can also try styles with barettes and Half Updos for variation.

I have really long brownish coper frizzy curly layered hair with blond highlights and shoulder leanth 45 degree cut bangs that is hard to manage unless I wet it down in the morning. Well now it is getting to cold to wet it down in the morning befor I go to school so I just put it up in a pony tail, quick bun, or 2 quick braids. I'm getting tiered of the 3 hair styles not only because I use them every day but it also seems that no matter what I do with my hair its frizzy...what works well with frizz that wont ruin my hair? and is their any other styles you can sugest? thanx

Sup. I love my curly hair, but it's so hard to maintain. The best thing is to use a real good mousse. Expensive is the way to go. Cheap supermarket ones are just a waste of time in my opinion.

Rebecca - The only way to treat split ends is to trim them off. You should see a stylist to get a nice cut that will eliminate most of them, and then you can begin to grow it out into whatever style you're interested in. Evelyn - Your shortest layer could be just to the shoulders or it could be longer, it really depends on how you define long. Remember, a shorter layer will curl more so it may look even shorter than it really is.

Hi. I have naturally brown curly hair, and it's REALLY thick. Like, omg. Thick >.>. Anyways, last year I got it chemically straightened because my hair scrunches up so much and I'm like a poodle, but it killed my hair and now I have zillions of split ends. My hair is like, 100% dead. How do I fix it and get it to grow out some more so it isn't all clogged at my neck? And what should I do with it when I'm done?

This is a really great article, and I'm just about to go for a hair cut! I had trouble with my hair until I was twelve, then a hairdresser taught me how to look after it. Usually good shampoo and conditioner (often a little more expensive than the regular stuff but worth it) recommended for curls works on my hair. How short should your shortest layer be if you have long curly hair?

To what Christine said about how there are alot of people trying to help out people with curly hair but in truth they know nothing about it, I agree. i have had people tell me stuff to do with my out of control frizzy hair, but they dont work. instead I had to find my own way to get my hair to be less fizzy. i finally found a leave in conditioner that helps my hair so much. It doesnt weigh it down at all

This article was surprisingly true and detailed. It is often you read an article trying to help people with curly hair, but they really have no idea what they are talking about. I personally found that Infusium 23 ( any of the new formulas) works well when you put it in a spray bottle. Also, Pantenes anti-humidity moisturizing hair cream is great - heavy enough to weigh it down but not greasy or flat. Both are cheap and at drugstores.

Angela - Yes, some conditioners can really weigh hair down depending on how much you use. It's important to find a balance that creates the type of style you like best.

i actually find that not using conditioner at all makes my hair curlier and doesn't damage it. the conditioner must have weighed it down

Lula - To help comb out tangles you need to keep hair moisturized. Be sure you are drinking plenty of water and eat a diet for healthy hair so the hair is strong, and when you get a tangle use a small bit of leave-in conditioner to rub gently on the tangle before you try to comb it out. The best way to get rid of it is slowly, so you don't break or pull the hair.

I have the same problem as the above girls i have naturally curly hair that always has dead ends and i can never do anything with it i always pull it into a ponytail so i don't have to deal with it i flat iron it too. I want to cut it short and flat iron it on a regular basis and i don't know if this will work i don't want to end up looking like a poodle so i don't know what to do I also just had a baby and have no time to deal with it! Another problem i have is that I have a round face please give me some tips or hints of what i can do with it! another problem i have is that it long right now and hard to flat iron and when i do its usually nice up top and poofy on the bottom or it feels like horse hair and it and when i put stuff in it . it gets oily so im just a mess please help!

Hi, I have naturly curly hair and I have always hated it because it takes so much time to keep it down so I end up wearing up all the time. I don't have regular curls the only real curls I have anymore are down the back of my neck. I've always flat ironed it but now its just isn't working and more its just so poofy and frizzy. I don't know what to do with it. I thought well maybe if I got a perm and went with the curl it might look better. Will a perm work for me you think?

Heyyy guys. I already posted a thingamabob on a different thing but yeah. Anyways heres my problem: I have curly hair and want to get a sort of punkish longish layered haircut. But my mom said if I get short layers it will make my hair like get really curly and I like my hair straight. And like my hair is redish auburn if that helps at all. I know, i find my naturally curly (and slightly on the frizzy side) hair very annoying sometimes, i want a emo haircut, but it won't work as my hair is too thick, D: i have straighteners and i do recomend them but only use them when your hair really looks like a china doll, XD and you have to use some sorta heat protection stuff.

Yes there it such thing LESLIE of a staright perm but it ruins your hair. So i strongly suggest you do not do this. Buy a straightner...
