Mercedes - Check out out different eyebrows articles for great tips on shapes, colors, and styles. It's also a good idea to get your brows done professionally the first time so you'll just have to touch them up yourself. Best wishes!

i hate my eyebrows i want them thiner and i messed tham up by shaving them i need tips, there bushy and i dont know what kind of eyebrow styles there are. i need help!

Flyyest - I'd recommend starting with just small changes rather than making a drastic change to your shape. You can try narrowing the brow near the nose and thinning it out over the entire length for a nice change that isn't too dramatic. You can also taper the outer end of the brow for more distinction. Be sure to take into account the natural shape of your brow and eyes so you have a good look for your face shape.

Recently, I have been desperate to thin my eyebrows but extremely hesitant as i do not experiment with them or know much as if it was to go wrong i would look a idiot, i am unhappy wih my natural eyebrow shape (my current shape) and was just looking for some advice on what i should do ...Thanks

Melissa - You need to choose whatever shape works best with your eyes and your facial structure. When near the bridge of your nose, a thinner shape is usually more elegant, and it shouldn't be much longer than the inner point of your eye.

FThin or thicker brows? I keep hearing thin line is out....so how do you shape around the bridge

I really have bushy beasts on my face and I want to pluck them so I look more like a girl so Im having my mom do it but Im scared its gonna hurt anything besided ice that will block out the pain?

Jaclyn - It's natural for brows to be a darker shade than the rest of the hair, but you can use a lighter liner pencil on your brows to help lighten them a bit if you like. Also, you can pluck a few strands to help tone down the bushy appearance, but take care not to pluck too many or you can alter the shape drastically.

Brianne - It may seem like a lot to spend, but if you get your brows professional shaped the first time, you can easily keep up the look yourself with plucking or tweezing. I'd recommend saving up to get a professional job first, then doing the maintenance on your own and only going to the salon again once in awhile.

i like the shape of my eyebrows, but they are a little bushy! also my eyebrows are really dark brown and my hair is really golden blonde! I don't want to dye and of my hair, so i don't know what to do!! How do I fix this?

-- Contributed by: Jaclyn

My eyebrows are bix and boxy, and what i mean by boxy is the brow near my nose, goes down in a straight line, it looks like I shaved off a unibrow with a razor haphazardly (sorry idk how to spell that) but I've never even touched a razor to my eyebrows, or anywhere else on my face! How can I fix it without A)making it worse or B)going to the salon? I'm 15 and really don't have 15 bucks to be spending on waxing that I'd need again in a month.

i once completely plucked my eyebrows off, and used liquid liner to draw them back on =) i was told that they would never grow back and i would end up looking like an alien for the rest of my life...but when i got sick of my fake brows i let the real ones grow back, and they were completely back to normal in three weeks, plus i had a better natural eyebrow shape afterwards- result!

Selina - You want to try and create a mirror image of each eye so they match. Try Eyebrow Stencils to help you get a good form on each eye. As for a brow pencil, you should use one that best matches the color of your brows -- and you may even need to use 2 pencils for a blended shade so it isn't obvious.

iv got two different shapes of brow what can i do make them look the same are there any techniques when plucking and what is the best eye brow pencil to use

Dee -- As for the color of your brows, you may want to try mixing and matching different pencils and shadows to fill them in. It appears that one color won't work for you, but if you layer different shades you should be able to get a closer approximation of the right color. Another alternative is to use Eyebrow Dye to get to a shade that will be much easier to fill in.

My mother wants me to pluck her very hairy eyebrows. She has many long course eyebrow hairs all the way from the brow to the crease and has never ever gone near her own eyebrows with a tweezer or wax or anything, so I know she is not used to the pain that she will have. I'm dying to tackle her brows, but I don't think she will handle the pain. I tried Tee gel,(for teething babies), and ice which neither helped for the pain. What can I do to help her?

I must have very unusual colour eyebrows. I have literally looked for years for ANYTHING (pencils, shadows, gels, etc) that will match their colour to fill them in. Because I am fair-skinned any colour that is too red or too brown or to grey or too black for my eyebrows shows instantly, even when I use a light hand. My natural eyebrows are a mixture of all the colours available, so that is why it is so difficult for me to match them up. They are lighter than black, darker than light grey, lighter than dark grey, they have brown in them but all browns are too dark or too light, there is lots of blond in my brows too, but blond filler and defining shades are to green or too yellow. If I don't define and fill my eyebrows they just look messy, what to do, please?

ok well to start with i first shaved my eyebrows BAD CHOICE NEVA EVA DO THAT! then i plucked them ... ingrowing hairs were appearing NOT GOOD waxing also is not good as the hair grows back like real quick well compared to threading anyways! THREADING IS THE ULTIMATE THING it lasts reli long and do not attempt to do it urself .. go to a proffesional and heres a gr8 tip: find a celebrity pic of someone who has gr8 eyeborws that wood definitely suit you! trust me i am only a teen and my eyebrows have been through alot andi regret shaving, plucking and waxing them! xx

One time I tried plucking my eyebrows on my own.....for the first time. I started where the larger part is at, and took out a huge chunk of eyebrow hair. Not only did it hurt like crazy, but now I had a humongous area where there was absolutely no hair what so ever. I had to use eye shadow to try and fill in the gap. My friends noticed and said my eyebrows looked orange. That was sure supportive!

Yea, I have made some really dumb mistakes while over-plucking my eyebrows!!They were so short I had to draw the ends on.I finally regrew them and now I have got it down..

-- Contributed by: Rose

oh eyebrows are a real pain... If you pluck Just one hair accidently it can screw it up.. haha Or accidently trim the eyebrow hairs to short then they look to square.. You eventually get the hang of it and after awhile know what your suppose to do, But i have certianly made some dumb mistakes..

For the first time, I had my mom draw a shape/line with eyeliner. It was easy, and all I had to do was pluck around the line!

-- Contributed by: Abby

You could use an eyeliner pencil to show her where you want your brows thinned so she'll know not to go too far, or you could try plucking a little in the middle. It's surprising how much thinner brows can look if you only take a few hairs out.

I have a good shape for my brows, but they are tooo close together! i get them threaded too. im scared if i tell the lady who threads my eyebrows to take off a little from the middle then i will end up with two tiny eyrbwos...what should i do?

-- Contributed by: none

I have been plucking and filling in my eyebrows and at when it's time to do them again it seems like they are getting thinner and thinner. I want to let them grow back and start over with a proffesional but they look horrible. What to do in the meantime???
