Raj - If your hair is dull, it's probably dry. You'll want to be sure you are eating a diet for healthy hair and drinking plenty of water to keep it moisturized from the inside out. Use a good conditioner regularly (every few days), and consider a hot oil or deep conditioning treatment to really smooth out your style and turn it to silk. You'll also want to protect your hair from too much sun and wind, both of which can really dry it out.

-- Contributed by: MayntzHi, I have lots of "difficult hair", that I have not got the patience or skill to blow-dry. It's shoulder length. I would go once a week for a proffessional blow-dry, but it's too costly. I keep my ends trimmed so that it won't tangle and I use spray for tangles, but that only helps slightly. My hair is also wavy and frizzes sometimes. I've tried expensive and cheap products to control the frizz and they all disappoint me. Only water works and is not sticky and doesn't interfere with the colour shade of my hair. I follow all the advice for maintenance. I don't like my hair around my neck its too hot in this tropical climate, so I usually keep it up, because short hair does not suit me. To get it to dry straight and shiny, I have to tie it up tight while its still wet, (then it looks nice the next day but that only lasts a few hours), and then it takes the whole day to dry and I look stern and old when my hair is so tight and flat against my head. If I have my hair short it goes even wilder. My question is I have now finally decided to go with the flow and accept my wavy hair and not fight it anymore, because straightening it also required hectic maintenance,(but I refuse to accept the slight frizz). I need to find easy ways to have it tied up loosely in a feminine way as is, all wavy, (without first wetting it to get it straight), but I need to know how to, so it at least looks feminine and tidy and not messy? Years ago in another city a hairdresser (can't find any hairdresser who can understand what I mean),did something with my hair, she wet my hair and used ordinary pins and it took her two minutes. I looked plain stunning. I tried to do the same now and it just came out a mess. Any ideas please?
-- Contributed by: DeeLaryb - You'll want to try longer hair that will accentuate the length of your face without emphasizing the width. Layers could be a good look too, but your best bet is to go to a salon for a consultation about a new and appropriate look. Best of luck!

-- Contributed by: janybellHi Lily,
You may want to try a layered hair style --they offer a bit more sophistication than a blunt cut. You can also create a variety of styles, such as updos and half-dos with layered styles. Check out our hairstyle picture galleries listed on the main page for inspiration, too. Best of luck!
