Anonymous - You should be able to pull off styles for either rectancular or pear shaped faces. You also want to coordinate with your lifestyle depending on the amount of care you want to give your style, and you might consider some highlights or lowlights for a subtle and fun change.

I am a 36 year old woman with medium-length natural red hair. I have a combination rectangular (long) and pear shaped face. What haircuts would be best for me?

Karen, You are right - keeping the same style can certainly give a woman a dated look. A chocolate color with highlights like you mentioned would be a very fresh look and dimensional color is very popular right now. A good stylist can use certain cutting techniques to give your hair a fresh look as well, like a razor cut style or one with piecy ends. I am a 43 yr. old woman who looks very young for her age and at this time has very grown out lengths, very fine appearing hair and becasue I have very sun-bleached hair, it looks out of date and appears to make me look older than my years. I want to add that a have a somewhat long face and tend to keep the same hairstyle for 23+ years I'd love to have it colored a nice warm choc./auburn color with some carmel......what to you think? I'd love to go to a some what messsy look but not too messy look. I'd like it a shorter, but not shorter......I JUST WANT SOMETHING NEW, FUN AND IN THIS DECADE!!!!!
