Thank you for sharing your experience, Den, it's great to have different perspectives to consider!

I'd have to disagree with the fact that this method of hair straightening is recommended for Caucasian hair. I believe the method is especially effective on people with thicker hair follicles. I've seen too many mishaps for people whose hair is very thin. I have coarse, thick and wavy hair. From both an African American and Asian lineage. This method has done wonders for me. It lasted more than a year. But it is very costly, this is a good solution for anyone who is tired of styling their hair for long hours in the morning/night.

I am military, have EXTREMELY curly hair. While being stationed in Korea, I was told about a straightner called "Magic Straight".. THE ABSOLUTE BEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE for my hair. I havent found anything in the States to compare to this. Yes it is a long process about 4 hours, but soo well worth it!! It ususally last me about 8 months, before I get fustrated with the curls again. Good luck to all... if you find any place that has "Magic Straight"... go for it!

Bles - Hair cannot be naturally "grown" straight -- your hair texture, including curliness, it based on your personal genetics. There are ways to help get it straighter using tools and products, and some can be done more naturally -- such as trying reverse curls or a natural relaxant -- though they're not nearly as effective.

How can we grow our hair straight(no need of too straight) without using hair iron or other chemical substances?

help me if you have any tips or methods.

i have really curly hair and it had soo many split ends and it was soo dead but i used this system and my hair was fabulous it was actually alive and it was pin straight! best thing i ever did. at the mall it was $800 estimate but i went to this salon in North hollywood, CA named cinderella salon on lankershim blvd and it cost me $180. It took around 4 hours. Dont get this treatment done when it is hot because you'll be under the hair dryer a lot!!!!

Sorry for the typos below. I have corrected them. I guess my fingers got ahead o me.  : ) I highly recommend this process. I've been getting my hair done once a year for the past four years. I get soooo many compliments. If you live in New York, the only place to go is Salon Ishi on 55th between Park and Madison. They are the true professionals. They test your hair first during the consultation and then determine whether or not the procedure is right for you. The price is high but well worth it. I have seen people go to cheaper places to get this done and their hair hangs stick straight and is dead-looking. My hair shines, still has body and is managable. Take it from me- go to Salon Ishi. It's worth the investment.

I got this treatment done many months ago and I am going back today to get it done tonight again. My hair wasn't insane, but it wasn't "manageable" at all. This treatment made my hair shinier, MUCH more manageable, and, believe it or not, healthy looking. I would recommend this treatment to people as long as they haven't done tons of previous damage to their hair (so sarah, I wouldn't recommend this for you...) Otherwise, go for it! You time and money will be well spent.

i absolutely recomend this treatment. when i lived in japan, i got it done. it works very well and it was only 8,000 yen which is about 80$. it made my hair verrrrrrrry pretty :] it takes around 2 hours, and there was only one lady working on my hair. and you don't have to come back to check it. it's really good

Sarah - 3 words. DON'T DO IT! If you do, chances are the affects will destroy you're hair (the chemicals) and won't acheive perfect, pantene ad hair. Furthermore, if you do it, there will probably be no hair left. If you want to be bald, please be my guest. Good luck with your endeavors.

I do nopt reccomend this process. My hair was beautiful curls before. Shiny but a little to unruly. Now my hair is like straw and dull and it's broken off in clumps from where the chemicals touched it. This is not the best solution for curly hair
