Hi! I have medium/short curly hair, and i hate it. I wish my hair were longer, because i cant do anything with it short. any style i do and like, it shrinks and looks ugly!! please help!

Hi Megan, Stylist Chris Michalak recommends some products in Styling Tips for Wavy Hair that are good for wavy/curly hair styles. A longer style might help weigh the curls down and tame them -- and contrary to what many people think, curly layered styles can actually help control the curl and give shape and definition to the hair. Other tips include letting you hair dry naturally, finger style rather than brushing, and avoid products containing alcohol because these can dry the hair out and make frizz worse. Best of luck!

Hi, I really want a kind of 'spray-on' type of curling product. So what kind of products do you recommend? I have medium unruly curly hair. Also, what kind of hairstyle do you recommend that doesn't make the hair get all puffed up? Please help!

Dina - You'll want to use a curling iron with a larger barrel for a larger curl, or if you use curlers use one that has a larger diameter. If you want the curls a bit looser, don't leave them in the iron quite as long and draw your fingers lightly through them while they're still warm to get a sexy wavy look.

Ella's comment is probably the worst advice I've ever heard. Never brush your curls, wet or dry, it disrupts the curl pattern. If you really want to learn how to take care of your curls properly visit naturallycurly.com my hair is no longer frizzy at all thanks to the advice I got there.

My favorite product to use for curly hair is Curl Conscious by Bumble and Bumble. No frizz for me.

my hair is frizzy but only the first layer of my hair is frizzy. rest of the layers r curly . how do i once again make my hair curly????

Ella -- A smoothing serum may help you tame your curls, otherwise you may need to consider a straightening iron or more intense treatments. Brush your hair when wet to smooth out the curls, and then apply a smoothing treatment to them. Anti-frizz may also help. Best of luck!
