Mckenna - Layers are great because they almost style themselves! You can add a little root boost or a bit of mousse near the scalp to add volume and let the layers stand out, or you can add mousse or gel to the ends to give them a piecy, choppy look. And don't forget accessories: head bands and barrettes are always great and can keep layers in check.

Piya - You can try some smoothing products to be sure your hair doesn't get too frizzy or too much volume as you add layers. If you keep the top layer as one of the longest that will also help keep the thickness under control, and remember that your waves may curl more if they're shorter. Best wishes!

I really want my hair cut. its medium legnth at the moment and I want it short so when I tye it up only a small ponytail is sticking out. I want it really thinned out and layered. When in a ponytail it will be scruffy but kinda cool at the same time. I also want it more blonde but i cant find a picture!

my hair is layered longer than my shoulers and i put it to the side too but im getting my bangs cut just a little longer than my chin otherwise your bangs look really bad.

Tiannuh -- Try a long top layer if you want less volume, or opt to maximize your waves for sultry loose look. Avoid a lot of small layers -- with wavy hair, they can look out of control.

I have hair a bit longer than my shoulders and it is layered, but I never do anything with it. It is either up in a ponytail, in a braid (or two) or down. It just looks kind of plain. Are there any tips as to what I can do to make it look a bit better, without costing me alot of money?

What ever you do get it professionaly done I let my bf do mine and omg well i guess it wasnt that bad. Make sure you get something you like and not something that is just popular cause you are the one who has to wear it and if you hate it it is goin to put you in a bad mood everyday when you get dresses and you have to see it like mine.
