-- Contributed by: MayntzThe regis salons I have dealt with in nh have ridiculous customer service and i would never let them perform any services on my hair again!
-- Contributed by: TracyI went to Ashley in the arboretom shopping center in nc, and she was a genius when it came to my color.
-- Contributed by: bernice.yea, Regis salon is really great. I've been going their for years, and have never had a problem. The stylists here in charlotte are really nice, and very talented.

-- Contributed by: MayntzI forgot to add my ending total price for my Cut & Color was $135. Plus when I left the salon my hair was still damp. And no I didn't tip. Worst Service I Have Ever Seen.
-- Contributed by: kimHi, My comment much like Carol McKains...Except I ask for a price quote for color & cut. I was given a price of $60. I was also asked to sign a release paper that stated the salon would do the best they can and that I would have to accept the outcome. Well I did not realize this meant they could more than double my price quote. My haircut consisted of three snips of hair (seriously). Oh and my requested *Medium Blonde Hair* was the color of a PENNY. All I can say is NEVER AGAIN.
-- Contributed by: kimWhile I was on vacation in Daytona Beach Florida, I got a perm at Regis 920 at 1700W International Spdwy Blvd #400. I asked to have my hair layered and 4 inches taken off. I asked for a curly perm. After my hair was washed and partially cut, the clerk told me that the cut was an extra $30.00. My hair is not curly as I asked. I have to set it every night. Only 2 inches was cut and not layered properly. I am dissatisfied with the perm. I paid $30.00 for a shampoo, cut and style. Also 70.00 for the perm and $3.00 for conditioner for a total of $103.00. Information on the receipt is as follows: Trans # 73185, dated 1/21/09 stylist# 8 Megan. I am now home in Cleveland, Ohio and was compeled to send this message.
-- Contributed by: carol McKainAnastasia in Oklahoma City (Penn Square Mall) really helped with my hair. For one thing, she recommended a scalp treatment that's not only invigorating, it feels like medicine. But basically, she always makes me turn ladies' heads when I walk out of there. How cool is that? I mean, I get a haircut, walk out in the mall, and suddenly I'm noticeable - in a good way. Anyway, she's really good. You don't find this a lot at the big chains.
-- Contributed by: Martial L.I walked in to the Regis Hair Salon at Pentagon City Mall, and got a senior stylist named Lyly. She gave me the best haircuts I ever had, as well as great advice about hair products that revolutionized the look of my hair. My only complaint is that she kept trying to convince me to color my hair. However, I liked her so much that I kept going back until I moved out of state.
Now I am planning to call the Regis Salon in my new area. Lyly told me that the best way to find a new hairdresser is to ask the receptionist to schedule you with someone really good (tell her you are willing to wait a while if necessary).

-- Contributed by: MayntzIn june I went in to the Regis salon at La Plaza Mall in McAllen and I got an assymetrical bob from a stylist calles Iris. She was amazing and the haircut was incredible. I went again a few months later and got the same haircut with the same stylist. Again, it was incredible. However, today, because we are having trouble with the whole economic crisis and what not, I had to find a more economical salon; so, I went to Mastercuts because I figured, since both salons are owned by the same company, they should have the same quality, boy was I wrong. I didn't get the cut I wanted, and I went back and told her how I wanted it, but she still didn't do it right. So, now I have to find someone to do it right for me, because the lady at Mastercuts definitely didn't know what I wanted. I learned my lesson, DON'T GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT REGIS! It is worth every penny.
-- Contributed by: TanyaI go to Penn Square Mall in Oklahoma City (Regis Salon), and I always have a great experience. Anastasia is my stylist. I get good results consistently.
-- Contributed by: MarotI have been going to Regis hair salon for years I go to the same stylist all of the time everyone is very professional and I always look forward to my next appointment. I leave feeling and looking great!I go to Regis at the Edison Mall in Ft. Myers, Florida-- Contributed by: susan m.
I went to Regis for the first time and I was totally happy! My stylist went to Regis and I went with her. The color is so much better there and I love the new shampoo I got! I am completely satisfied there. I guess you have to trust your stylist!
-- Contributed by: NancyI don't know if all the bad stylists went to every other state but mine but I have never had a bad experience at my Regis salon! I have had many different stylists do my hair( cutting, coloring, highlighting, you name it) and everyone have been helpful, polite, and professional. The last time I got my hair colored it was a little darker then I expected but it lightens up so no big deal. If you've never been to a regis salon and are shopping around for a place to go don't be scared off by all these negative comments! Its not fair to base your opinion on someone elses try them out for yourself, go get a consultation first and see if they fit the bill! Regis Rocks!
-- Contributed by: AshleighI went to a Regis in Fresno Ca in the Fashion Fair Mall Feb 22,2008 Had an apt. at9am stylist showed up at 920am I was asked to go into the bathroom and get a robe to put on. somewhere around 10 am the stylist started to color my hair she said she was unable to do my crown in the same color that she would have to dye my whole head one color fine I said as long as it doesnt turn red. Well at 1 pm she was finally done as she was whispering to the stylist next to her I became anxious. My hair was dark I went to pay a whooping $130 for my color and $35 for my cut. When I got home I checked out my hair it was freaking RED! Then a co-worker later that day pointed out that the back of my hair was splotchy. I called corporate and had someone else from the salon fix my hair. Stylist late. When he was done with my hair I had dye dried on my forehead my neck my earlobes and my cheeks. Everyone was unprofessional while I was there I noticed that everyone with an apt. had to wait and extra 15-30 min for their stylist. Even though my hair is no longer red it is damaged and $165 I still feel unsatisfied. For $165 I should have been offered a cappucino or a bottle of water? Never will I go there and I will beware anyone who wants to go to this salon. It is as if all the beauty school grads were allowed to work there just because they put in hours for their certificate!!!

-- Contributed by: tracy k stackCamille - I'm sorry your experience was so dreadful; hopefully you can get an appointment with the stylist you prefer at another time. You're right, the ethnicity of hair can be a challenge to work with, and it is crucial to have a stylist who understands that in a unique situation such as yours.
-- Contributed by: MayntzToday was my 2nd trip to Regis at Tanglewood Mall in Roanoke Virginia and it was horrible to say the least. My 1st visit last year during the holiday season was delightful with Ashley as my stylist which was the reason that I returned. Unfortunately, today she was not available at the time I wanted and instead I took an appointment with Rose. On entering the store I informed the woman at the front desk that I had an appointment with Rose at 10:00. She told me to sit in a chair and the neext thing I knew she was placing a towel around my neck. She didn't even have the courtesy to introduce herself as Rose, I had to ask her "So you're Rose the Manager" which I gleaned from her call card atop the station. Well maybe Rose should stick to 'managing' because she certainly cannot style hair. For the 1st time in my life I had a shampoo where water squirted into my eyes and rolled down my back. I knew that was a bad sign from the get go and thereafter things just went down hill. She proceeded to put some sort of balm in my hair which I knew would not work. I therefore asked her if she had ever done my type of hair before, since I am of mixed ethnicity (Indian and Black). She was very rude in her response saying that she does not look at colour just hair type, mine being curly. I was very annoyed since ethnicity has everything to do with hair texture and type of products suited for it. I explained to her that I'd had my hair done in other Salons, the product that was usually used and the technique usually employed for what I thought was a simple wash, blow and flat iron. She did not listen to me and persisted in her rudeness, even informing me to take my business elsewhere. Well Rose I certanly will and I will also tell anyone else I know with my "type of hair" to go elsewhere as well.
-- Contributed by: Camille HayesI recently had the same experience as Amanda had, in that my hair was cut VERY uneven, then when I went back to get it fixed she butchered it so short that it is as short as my military son's haricut. I am very sad and angry, and what's worse is that there is no way to email them or go to their website to ask them to make this right! What an awful unprofessional place to get a trim.If there is any way to contact them, won't someone let me know!! I beleive they owe me $24.
-- Contributed by: Sue HiebWell i have to admit that Regis products are really great for my hair. My sister works there and she got me some of the hair shampoo & conditioner straightening. I love it. And it really makes a difference on my hair. My friends have tried mine and are also gonna buy some for themselves. I sister cuts my hair not at regis but i know she loves what she does and is awesome at it. She will be doing my hair for prom, i wont be disappointed at all. She has done my hair since i was lil and i know that she does hair the way you want it not the her way unless you want her opinion. My sisters name is Janna St. John at Regis in Mattoon Il. in the cross county mall.
-- Contributed by: Ambre Simmersi went to a regis salon in the des moines area. i wanted a hair cut and color with highlights. my haircut wasnt want it was suppose to be. i got the color but she wasnt able to figure out how to highlight my hair so after 2 hours and toning apps she still wasnt able to highlight my hair. these are suppose to be specialist i thought. she told me she needed to cut someone elses hair and i could come back in 20 to 30 mins. come on are'nt u suppose to finish with the person ur with first and make sure she is done right. i guess not. i have gone to regis salons in the past and they used to be good. i will never go to another one
-- Contributed by: pennyI had a much better experience at Regis than the previous commentor. I walked into the Regis salon at Cordova Mall in Pensacola, FL looking for help for my dry, breaking, badly highlighted (blonde) hair (thanks to a stylist who actually works at a high-end spa...quality isn't guaranteed anywhere.) The first stylist at Regis who evaluated my situation recognized that the assistance I needed was above her level of expertise and referred me to another stylist there at Regis who specializes in color and color repair (I appreciate her willingness to admit that she was not equipped to handle my situation...that is a mark of professionalism even if experience is lacking). The second stylist (Jason) did a wonderful job, and I was extremely pleased when I left the salon. Not only was he obviously knowledged/experienced, he did not waiver in his determination to ensure that I knew what I was asking of him (as far as color) was not what I would truly want if he were to perform that service...and he explained exactly WHY. I would hate to visit a stylist who would stand his/her ground when the the (unknowledgable) customer requests a service the stylist knows will not yield a good result. I wouldn't want a stylist who succombs to pressure...I want one who is confident in his/her knowledge and will "give it to me straight." That said, Jason (at Regis) is my new stylist and will remain so until one of us moves from the area. Prior to my experience with the stylist at the high-end spa, I was determined not to use "mall salons" because I assumed they would not have the same level of expertise as higher-end salons. However, I have learned that is not necessarily true. A person will find good and bad stylists in any salon. Regis, for me, was a good choice.
-- Contributed by: KarenI recently had my hair cut & dyed at a Regis salon. The first girl that cut my hair did so, so, with a basic layer but left my bangs all jagged. She did not know how to style hair, she also left a bunch of shampoo gunk at the base of my neck. and I left feeling dissatisfied. I returned a week later to have my bangs jagged bangs "fixed" The next girl that cut my hair butchered me. My bangs are now unfixable. they are long in the center of my forehead and they keep getting shorter towards my hairline like a checkmark then there is one long strand that is in the middle of the shorter part of the bang just hanging there. I am so upset that Regis does not have more professional stylists working for them. I will never return to a Regis salon and I will let everyone I know, know that you can expect disaster. I walk in to a well branded name expecting to have at least a good experience and I am left empty handed with horrible hair that is embarrassing. I work in the corporate world. I feel embarrassed to even go to work because of Regis salon hiring less than desirable employees that are worthless and that are fresh out of a beauty school. I plan on having an impact on the sales for the Regis salon in my area, for I have been telling everyone where I got my new horrible haircut.
