Sharon - It can take several weeks for eyebrows to regrow, depending on the hair's growth cycle and health. The best bet is to just wait it out!
-- Contributed by: Mayntzmy daughter has shaved her eyebrows of. how long will they take to grow
-- Contributed by: sharonJamcgirls - Yes, her eyelashes will regrow, but it could take several weeks. Hair grows in staggered lengths, so not all the lashes may grow at once.
-- Contributed by: Mayntzmy seven year old cut her beautiful eylashes will they grow and how long
-- Contributed by: my daughter cut her eyelashesJasmine - Yes, they will grow back but it could take several weeks before they look like they did before. Hair grows in cycles, and not every hair will grow at the same time. You might consider fake eyebrows until they grow back in.
-- Contributed by: MayntzHi, I'm only 11 and my eye brows were to thick. I dicided to shave them, and I accidently shaved loooooooads off, will they grow back? If dey will, d'you know how long they'd be to grow?...
-- Contributed by: JasminePauline - Yes, her eyebrows will grow back, but they may be a bit itchy as they come in. You can use lotion to help keep her from scratching too much, but take care to use a sensitive formula so close to her eyes.
-- Contributed by: MayntzMy 8th yr old daughter found her dads shaver and shaved off her eyebrows. Will they grow back since it was only one time and she has baby hair? Please helppppppppppppp
-- Contributed by: PaulineHi Miranda, You may want to try an eyebrow conditioner to soften the brow hairs. Read reviews and be cautious before buying, though. It won't be miracle fix, but could help the hairs lie flatter and look less spiky.
-- Contributed by: Amy FinleyWhen i was younger i used to shave my eyebrows because they were so thick.that was a big mistake now i pluck or wax but my brows are ruined they grow hard and spicky very unattractive.does anybody have any suggestions on correcting my eyebrows. Please help thanks miranda
-- Contributed by: mirandaI shave my eyebrows off altogether,my own grow pure white.I use a pencil or special eyebrow powder-i do freehand with my pencil.I also have stencils but find them a bit awkward.
-- Contributed by: GillI prefer to simply shave off my eyebrows and not draw them on (or draw them on with a very fine line). It's easier for me and more beautiful to me to not have any eyebrows.
Most people don't notice. Those who would think that I'm a freak have plenty of reason to do so based on my piercings and my partial undershave.
My professional artist friends have pointed out that the right glasses without eyebrows drawn on work for me just as well as eyebrows.
-- Contributed by: KrystineJamillah - Thanks for sharing your technique!
-- Contributed by: MayntzI have been shaving my eyebrows off sense I was 14, Im now 28. I have very very light (thin) eyebrows naturally. Like scralett, I also doodle. People ask me all the time who does your eyebrows, are they real? I tell them no and they say they look so natural. I hate to see a woman with "drawn" on eyebrows and it's just a line on their face....hate it! So, here's a tip. Using an eyebrow pencil draw your eye brows arched...thicker at the tip towards your nose...at the end of drawing them on, your gonna smear it just a little, not so much where your gonna have a uni-brow (hate those too). At the end, clean up your eyebrows with a tissue (close your eye (wich everone your working on)and gently push your eyelid down untill your eyebrow is kind of straight)get your tissue ang take a very very very small portion of the eyebrow off (outlining the shape of the eyebrow). That will make it look neater and more arched. Souonds like alot but please don't be that woman with the "line" on her face! This has been my secret for over ten years, so feel special I'm sharing it with you! ;) I really need to get this technique patented, it's so good, so make me proud!
-- Contributed by: JamillahI have shaved my eyebrows off and then exerienced the awkwardness of having no brows when the make-up is off. Then I had them tatooted on and have been very happy. A little concealer in the right places and I can shape my new brows any way I feel like. I also had natural black eyebrows and it made it difficult to color my hair lighter shades so having the shaved brows makes them extremely versatile when penciling to match my new haircolors whenever the mood stikes. The downside, they will never be able to grow back becuase the tattoo is not shaped to my natural brow.
-- Contributed by: jenniI shave my eyebrows. its really easy, and fun. But it takes a while to get good at drawing them on. All I did to get good, was whenever Im bored, or doodling. I draw eyebrows, in different shapes, and see what I like. and when I find one I really like. I just keep drawing it over, and over. you get good at it. and its alot easier.!
-- Contributed by: ScarlettShaving eyebrows is prolly a personal preference just like how some ppl like to be bald. I shave mine off now because I keep getting alot of acne there and I can't apply my mask when there is hair there.
It's quite normal in Japan to shave off eyebrows. Even alot of males do it. When you remove your makeup at home, most people don't tend to notice that your eyebrows are gone but it doesn't really make much of a difference anyway.
-- Contributed by: Mikii usually shave my eyebrows, not completely, just to clean them up a bit. i hate tweezing. very painful for me. beauty stores do sell specially shaped razors meant for shaving eyebrows which are what i use. of course your hair grows back quicker than when you tweeze, but my eyebrows are not very thick so that's not really a problem for me.
-- Contributed by: sarahI can't see encouraging a "beauty" practice that leaves one looking like a total freak when the face is washed and the makeup comes off. Better to work with what you have - see a professional to have the brows shaped and maintain at home with tweezers.
A word of advice to folks who are bent on shaving the brows - keep track of your razor. You don't want your roommate cleaning up her bikini area with the tool you use on your face. Lots of amoebas can be passed on via razor. I'm sure a cluster of herpes sores would look great hanging over your left eye in your yearbook pic. Can't draw over those . . .
